TS-Optics adjustable secondary holder with spider vanes
A robust secondary support guarantees adjustment stability. Our TSSPI has been designed with optimal stiffness for secondaries larger than 70 mm in mind.
It is ideal for amateur telescope making but it can also used for upgrading standard Newtonians by Skywatcher, GSO, Celestron etc. The secondary should have a diameter of at least 70 mm (minor axis).
Advantages and characteristics:
♦ Mounts to the tube with M8 thread bolts and counter nuts
♦ Suitable for secondary supports > 30 mm at their lower base
♦ Central bore diameter is 6.5 mm. So secondary holders with M5, M6 and 1/4″ rod can be used. We recommend counter sunk screws as they are self-centering.
♦ The spider vanes are glued and additionally secured with setting screws (three per vane).
♦ Suitable for OTA from 284 mm to 300 mm inner diameter
♦ Secondary adjustment by optional M4 knurled screws; 2×3 female threads are inserted.
