Antlia developed the ALP-T Dual Band 5nm Ha & OIII filter as a dual line-pass solution tailored for one-shot color (OSC) cameras, including DSLRs and dedicated astronomy cameras. You can also use it with monochrome cameras to reduce imaging time while still achieving excellent narrowband results.
The filter’s advanced multi-coatings isolate the red H-alpha and blue-green OIII emission lines with precision, while suppressing unwanted wavelengths with an optical density of OD4.5. This effectively cuts through light pollution, moonlight, and airglow, boosting contrast and significantly improving the signal-to-noise ratio in your images.
By capturing both key emission lines simultaneously, the ALP-T filter simplifies your workflow. It produces cleaner data, reduces the impact of background noise, and minimizes the post-processing needed to extract faint nebular details.
Application and Performance:
-
Designed specifically for DSLR, CMOS, and CCD color cameras to deliver optimal imaging performance
-
Blocks unwanted wavelengths with OD4.5 suppression, enhancing signal-to-noise ratio
-
Features steep bandpass edges that effectively minimize internal reflections
-
Maintains color accuracy with a flat-top, moderate bandpass that reduces spectrum shift
-
Uses Ion Gun Assisted Deposition on a double-sided polished substrate for maximum coating consistency and precision
-
Suppresses artificial lighting across a broad range—from Bortle 1 to Bortle 8 sky conditions
-
Blocks near-infrared (NIR) light up to 1100nm to preserve image clarity and reduce contamination
