This relatively compact, but heavier payload mount, with a capacity of 31kg, will deliver an astronomy experience like never before. The mount easily accommodates both a binocular and a telescope through its multi-position saddle that can be located on a “top” or a “side” configuration to best suit the instrument selected. Set-up is so easy, just turn the mount on and it will calibrate itself and go to the first target utilising iOptron’s time tested “Lever and Go” routine.

Utilizing state-of-the-art strain wave gear technology for both RA and DEC movement, the HAZ71 delivers unparalleled weight to payload efficiency. Its black anodized all metal CNC machined body is not only appealing to the eye, it’s a rugged platform that will perform at the highest level for many years to come. Unique features include an electronic friction brake that allows the mount to stop safely.

An HAZ71 mount can be controlled by a computer, either via ASCOM/Commander for a Windows PC or a third-party INDI driver for a MacOS software; a SmartPhone/Tablet via iOptron Commander Lite or an App like SkySafari; or an iOptron iMate Astronomy Control Box and other Pi device via INDI driver.
